Leap29 are working closely with an engineering oil and gas contractor based in Germany who have an urgent request for a Senior / Lead Mechanical Rotating Engineer. He or she must be German speaking.
Location: Germany
Contract: 12 months + extension
Rate: Hourly discussed on apllication
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Specifying rotating equipment, evaluation of technical bids, technical vendor document review, participating in equipment inspections, improving quality of services and deliverables, coordinating work within and outside discipline and offices in industrial/petro-chemical industry projects.
Able to leading team of mechanical engineers is a pre.
Technical/Functional Responsibilities:
- Senior Mechanical Engineer must be able to function as a mechanical lead engineer, managing a group of engineers for a specific project in conceptual design, basic engineering and detailed engineer phases.
- Responsible for the technical quality of the services and deliverables.
- As a lead also responsible for controlling the budget and schedule for all mechanical activities in a multi office project execution environment.
- If not acting as a lead or in combination with, senior mechanical engineer will perform engineer tasks such as the preparation of technical specifications, evaluating the technical bids and follow up after award of the technical documentation and involvement in the inspections.
- Ability to perform calculations in the design of equipment and systems.
- Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects
- Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements
- Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer
- Supporting construction and commissioning teams in troubleshooting and problem solving for field related challenges.
