We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Rotating Equipment specialist to join the Project Management Team which is responsible for Capital Project Execution starting from FEED till commissioning, for the wide spread Oil & Gas Operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Suitable candidates will have experience in the full Project Life Cycle, design / engineering technical expertise in rotating equipment (Pumps, Compressors, Gas Turbines etc.) sizing, selection and its auxiliary systems for oil & gas services, which will enable you to provide technical and project management support to on-shore / off-shore oil & gas projects throughout all phases of the project, including conceptualization, FEED, procurement, site installation, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, to ensure project completion with due quality, within budget and timely manner. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Project Management with technical expertise of rotating equipment design/ engineering, selection, installation till final commissioning. Project Management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is preferable. Work experience on projects of over $100 million is preferable, and candidates must have experience coordinating with teams such as Engineering, Construction, Operations, technical departments and EPC contractors. Candidates must be fully acquainted with engineering specifications, codes, and standards such as API and ASME. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: B.S. degree in Engineering.EXPERIENCE: 10 years in Oil & Gas or similar industry experience in handling Projects of liquid hydrocarbon Pumping stations, Gas Compressors, Turbines, Generators, pipeline / piping etc., for sweet and sour environment either on-shore or off-shore plant / gathering system. Duties & Responsibilities Suitable candidates will have full involvement in the selection, and high pressure servicing of various types of rotating equipment (e.g., Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Screw type, turbines etc.) processes by closely working with all project stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Maintenance, Engineering Contractors, equipment vendors, Inspection etc.) You will direct and supervise the engineering and management service contractor throughout the design execution. Responsible for the technical bidding, and the complete procurement process with full involvement of in-process studies and inspection / tests (e.g., vibration analysis, mechanical run test / FAT, SAT etc.). Participate in process safety management studies like PHA / HAZOP, HAZID, and Constructability studies, Value Engineering and other Value Improvement Practices during the entire project execution cycle. Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, and provide technical support at all levels of project execution. Effectively coordinate with equipment vendors and operations for successful commissioning and project close out. Knowledge of process control & instrumentation controls for rotating equipment (e.g., capacity controls, anti-surge control, Programmable Logic Controller, DCS, Machine Monitoring System, and Emergency Shutdown System etc.). Review piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), plot plans and rotating equipment drawings, technical specifications, design packages. Provide guidance, work direction and training to junior engineers. Estimate costs, prepare justifications and complete expenditure requests as required, and also support the preparation of purchase orders for mechanical equipment procurement. Manage site construction work at remote locations, and exposure to projects that have inflexible requirements for HSE. Recently, Our Clinet completed the largest capital program in its history that included new or expanded oil, gas and petrochemical facilities, raising maximum sustainable crude oil production capacity to 12 million barrels per day and significantly increasing gas production and processing capacities. Among the recently completed projects was the largest crude oil increment in the history of the industry: Khurais, with a production capacity of 1.2 million barrels per day. More challenges lie ahead, with a slate of new or expanded oil, gas, refining and petrochemical projects in the works. E&PM also manages the Company’s Research & Development Center where scientists investigate topics such as the desulfurization of crude oil, advanced fuel formulations for next generation combustion engines, and reservoir nano-scale robots (Resbots™) for injection into reservoirs to record their properties.
