Requirements & Qualifications:
Degree/diploma in mechanical engineering and experience in rotating equipment maintenance
10 to 15 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of rotating equipment
Capable and comfortable of working under air by using of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English language skills to enable communications with expatriate team members on technical subjects
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with other supervisors, advisors and consultants to integrate Maintenance, Facilities Engineering and Operations with regards to work procedures, management of change (MOC), guidelines and work processes.
High degree of demonstrated Safety Focus, i.e. Safe Work Practices, Safety Procedures, BBS program, best practice of oil and gas industry.
Computer literacy in basic Microsoft office applications. JDE EAM proficiency a plus.
Core Responsibility:
Proficient knowledge of maintenance activities on rotating equipment regarding all type of pumps (e.g.: high/medium/low pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps), compressors, fans, blowers, gearboxes, turbines, granulators and other sulfur forming device, mechanical sealing and coupling systems, etc.
High level of skills on laser alignment, vibration analysis / diagnosis, troubleshooting and failure analysis.
Successful experience managing a mechanical crew when acting as maintenance supervisor, mechanical advisor or another maintenance role
Familiar with industry standards for energy isolation, blinding and process hazards during maintenance operations
Thorough implementation of work site safety, including JSA (job safety analysis), JHA (job hazards analysis), toolbox talks, pre-job communication, site inspection, quality assurance, and decisive response to emerging issues.
Proven ability to develop preventative maintenance schedules and generate equipment maintenance/repair checklist and procedures as per manufactures’ technical manuals and engineering assembly drawings.
Understanding of P&ID drawings and capable of identifying equipment/process isolation points to make adequate logout / tagout.
Familiar with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and JDE Edwards 1 to manage work orders, plan/schedule/scope maintenance activities, create bill of materials and equipment spare parts lists.
Strong leaderships to manage/ supervise contractor mechanical crew during turnaround and startup activities.
Prior experience working on equipment in sour service a plus.
