Specific Role Purpose:
Supervises, plans, provides technical support for the safe operation and maintenance of Rotating equipment like Gas turbine, compressor, pumps installed at the Qatargas Onshore facilities and Laffan Refinery.
Specific Accountabilities:
Support the asset maintenance team of various rotating equipment maintenance activity and troubleshooting for LNG plant and Laffan refinery.
Plan and execute all planned and unplanned maintenance of rotating equipment’s like gas turbines, compressors, and pumps by close working with asset and shutdown teams and provide regular updates.
Quality control of all plant maintenance activities for Gas turbines and compressors mechanical jobs and refurbishment activities on site and at OEM workshop.
Regular follow-up of all gas turbine mechanical activities and co-ordination with asset and GE CSA team.
Perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as per SAP PM Frequency.
Implementation of EMOC recommendations.
Provides assistance to asset mechanical group in troubleshooting and rectifying gas turbine and compressor related problems.
Review and prepare all documents like job cards, JSA, quality check list for gas turbine and compressor jobs.
Plan and prepare all the spares and special tools require for the planned maintenance activity.
Review Availability of Spares and raise Stock Amendment Request (SAR) as per requirements for all critical rotating equipment.
To identify the System obsolescence and raise EMOC for up gradation well in advance.
Support for Management of Change feasibility study by providing system inputs.
Participate in Root cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Risk Assessment, HAZOP study and provide necessary data for this Analysis.
Participate in internal and external Audit and close out of Action items.
Provides facility for technical training and coaching of mechanical technicians and Qatari National Developees for rotating equipment.
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
Undertakes similar or related tasks as directed by Supervisor.
Specific Requirements (Technical Competency):
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years' experience as Rotating Equipment engineer for LNG plant or Oil and Gas plant.
Hands-on experience on Gas turbines major overhauling of Fr 52, Fr 6 and Fr 9 preferred.
Sound knowledge on Gas turbine and compressor auxiliary system.
Hands-on experience of compressor minor inspection like bearing inspection and DGS replacement preferred for OEM like GENP, MHI or Siemens.
Knowledge of SAP system.
Good written and spoken English
