Rotating Equipment Engineer Location: New Orleans, LA area Rate: $70-$95 per hour Duration: 12+ month assignment Start Date: June 2016 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and short term/long term disability. Position Summary Work on optimizing preventive maintenance procedures.Provides support to Operations and Projects Teams on rotating equipment Issues.Performs Root Cause Failure Analysis on Rotating Equipment.Provides reliability and maintenance mechanical engineering technical support with the primary purpose of increasing rotating equipment reliability for the refinery.Provide mechanical engineering expertise in troubleshooting equipment issues, evaluation of equipment failures, and technical recommendations for repairs / upgrades. Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering.10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in rotating equipment.Experience in working for maintenance organization in refinery/plant environment.Experience with reciprocating compressors.Demonstrated success working in a team environment and effectively communicating across all levels of personnel.Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation, cohesively integrating work into team dynamics and goals.In-depth Basic understanding of rotating equipment including alignment and other millwright. techniques, vibration interpretation, lubrication principles, and analysis report interpretation.Comprehensive understanding of maintenance and reliability best practices including the work management process.Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).Highly skilled in trouble shooting rotating equipment issues.Knowledge of ASME Code and API Standards.Flexibility to take call as needed for urgent issues at the site.
