For more information about our Company, please visit our website: <web address removed>; Our client is Oil and Gas operating company has an immediate requirement for: Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer Contract Duration: Permanent Hire Location: Qatar Starting Date: ASAP Client: A Global Oil and Gas operating company and for their project in Qatar Work Schedule: Residential Package: Tax-Free Day Rate, additional monthly allowances, flights and medicals – insurance Reports To: Engineering Manager Basic Function and Scope The Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer supports the Project Management Team (PMT) during the FEED, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning phases of the Project. Ensure that the rotating equipment and package equipment design and installation work meet the Project safety, environmental, operational, quality, cost, design, and schedule objectives. The individual should have a sound knowledge and understanding of Company procedures and processes in order to support the Project Management Team. An ability to work independently is required as well as strong computer literacy. Tasks and Duties Support the Engineering Manager in coordinating/communicating various issues that affect the rotating equipment engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work. Responsible for insuring that electronic Management of Change (eMOC) on Project design is performed according to established procedures, and work with the Business Unit to ensure eMOC adequately documents rational. Facilitate and coordinate all rotating equipment technical work products, is responsible for technical input on facilities sharing/allocation issues. Facilitate and coordinate rotating equipment engineering technical work products. Evaluate / comment work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with project specifications, Company standards, and regulatory requirements. Includes review of rotating equipment design drawings, documents, and specifications. Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to project procedures and maintains Deviation Control Log. Steward rotating equipment engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests. Contributes to the development all of Project Report and protocols to ensure a successful GATE compliance review. Keep Engineering Manager informed of rotating equipment engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns. Participate in rotating equipment engineering reviews, 3D model reviews and design reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations. In collaboration with the Engineering Manager, gain alignment with the PMT on project engineering needs, objectives, and requirements: Participate in kick-off meetings with the contractor and PMT to ensure common understanding of engineering requirements, including deliverables. Conduct project team member briefing sessions with respect to rotating equipment engineering requirements and processes. Coordinate owner and PMT rotating equipment engineering portions of 3D model reviews, design reviews to minimize disruption of the contractor's work. Participate actively in the project's change management program. Steward the process of capturing and communicate rotating equipment engineering and design lessons learned for the project. Assist the Engineering Manager in stewarding the contractor's activities with respect to rotating equipment engineering execution including: Ensure that all affected parties are familiar with engineering execution plans, procedures, objectives, and overall job requirements. Ensure that the contractor staffs the project with adequate numbers of qualified personnel. Ensure that the contractor employs the appropriate design tools, including computer hardware and software. Ensure that the contractor adheres to all appropriate specifications and standards. Ensure that the contractor provides all contract documents, including those referred to in the job spec. Reinforce the requirement for the contractor to control the work, i.e. accurate and timely progress measurement and reporting. Minimum Requirements Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of fifteen (15) years broad experience in all project phases i.e. engineering, procurement, and construction, would have at least ten (10) years specific involvement in major projects. Experience with Rotating equipment packages and other vendor supplied packages, in particular refinery and petrochemical projects. Experience with government agencies, contractors and vendors, in particular those involved in the construction of onshore facilities. Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities Excellent understanding of Project Technical requirements. Strong written and verbal English language communication skills. Computer/IT literate.
