JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the Rotating section to ensure that Rotating activities are carried out in the most cost effective and timely manner. Develop, improve and maintain Rotating Equipment maintenance strategies / activities so as to improve and facilitate a smooth functioning of ORYX GTL equipment and / or facilities. Execute all Maintenance activities and assigned projects on time and within budget with overall operational cost control.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of Department’s strategy and plans as appropriate to the function / business line needs and objectives in line with corporate guidelines and the overall Company strategy.
- Direct the day-to-day Maintenance operations, providing expertise, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets, objectives and employee engagement in a motivated work environment.
- Ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures.
- Contribute to the planning, organisation and implementation of shutdowns, turnarounds and emergencies as required to ensure adherence to the well-being of ORYX GTL assets.
- Is responsible for the Rotating Equipment maintenance works on ORYX GTL assets as required to ensure minimum disruptions with regard to machine / mechanical breakdowns.
- Ensure the availability of necessary Rotating Equipment tools and equipment in order to execute tasks in an effective manner.
- Oversee the implementation of service level agreements with various vendors / contractors so as to ensure an effective communication and compliance with ORYX GTL respective needs.
- Ensure the outsourced Rotating Equipment projects are followed up on according to desired outcome in order to ensure a timely completion of the project at hand.
- Provide technical advice to management on new / old projects on selection of new / old equipment, layout of the equipment and maintainability of equipment in order to ensure management remains abreast with related departmental functions / works.
- Ensure the effective achievement of objectives through the leadership of the Rotating Section, setting team and individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and team performance.
- Is responsible for the preparation of the Rotating Section’s budget and monitoring financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs / revenues.
9. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Master Degree is an advantage.
Minimum Experience:
8 years of experience in a similar role in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Extensive maintenance experience in equipment ranging from Compressors, Pumps, Fans, Blowers, Mixers, etc.

PTW and HSE Standards in Oil, Gas, Petrochemical industries
Welding and Inspection techniques
