Our client is an Oil and Gas Operator who is looking for a Safety Equipment Specialist to join their team on an initial 12 month contract basis.
Purpose:
Responsible for delivery and onshore support for all safety equipment issues
Accountabilities and End Results:
Applying expertise in the area of safety equipment to safely and efficiently maintain the J-Area assets
Primary Functions:
1) Provide expertise in the following areas:-
2) Life-rafts and Lifeboats
3) Fire extinguishers
4) Safety showers
5) Escape sets/Grab bags/Life jackets/Immersion suits
6) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
7) Escape routes/signage
8) BA sets and associated fire team equipment
9) Potable Water management
10) Helideck maintenance and foam sampling
11) Galley and associated accommodation safety equipment
12) Deluge Testing
13) Action safety equipment technical queries, loss causation actions, VES and A&OI actions
14) Participate in HAZOPS, Risk Assessments and change screens as required.
15) Manage of assigned contracts
16) Track associated repairs/spares
17) Create relevant workpacks/workplans
18) Review of assigned planned maintenance routines
19) Ensure change control procedure compliance
20) Liaise with multiple vendors, internal stakeholders
21) Extensive use of SAP.
Critical Skills:
1. Core Technical Experience
Experience of oil-field based safety equipment Use of SAP Plant Maintenance Module Raise notifications as necessary Provide technical input to notifications and work orders as required Review and verify completed work orders as necessary Proficient with the Microsoft suite of tools
2. Qualifications
Degree is not essential but experience and vocational training is expected.
