Swift are recruiting an HSE Officer for a major oil and gas operator on a contract basis, located in Basilicate / Italy, on a resident bases. ROLE OVERVIEW The service provider shall :contribute technically to the discipline from initial studies through to plant start-up.ensure that the construction of the installations complies with maintenance, operability, safety practices and regulations.optimise reliability.propose new techniques to project managers.monitor and manage the contractor’s mechanical team during the detailed design phase and the construction/start-up phase. JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES To develop long-term strategies, philosophies and goals for the discipline within the project and ensure that they are implemented.To ensure that the rotating equipment is engineered with proven equipment to the required safety, quality and operability standards.To supervise specialists for analysis and approval of technical documents prepared by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in order to ensure compliance with all technical requirements affecting the discipline.To supervise specialists for the follow-up of manufacturing, acceptance, installation and start-up of equipment.To attend the factory tests of the rotating equipment.To attend pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.To conduct studies leading to technical decision-making.To issue recommendations to project management. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE Chartered engineer.Fluency in English (speaking and writing), good communication skills, and ability to work in a multicultural environment.At least 10 years’ experience with large onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.
