Rotating Equipment Engineer to head up the Mechanical Engineering group.
The Rotating Equipment Engineer will be responsible for the rotating equipment scope for a large variety of international brown field, grass root & revamp facilities for petrochemical, oil, chemical, gas & industrial services. Work comprises of conceptual design, basic engineering, extended basic engineering & detailed design for reimbursable & lump sum projects.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a team of engineers in a multi-discipline project environment. He or she will have well developed communication & interpersonal skills & wants to work in a collaborative project task force, where generating & fostering internal & external client relationships is of high importance.
The Rotating Equipment Engineer will work on various equipments such as pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines and packaged units which contain pumps or compressors. Close interaction & cooperation with world wide equipment suppliers is required.
The Rotating Equipment Engineer will perform the following activities
• Calculations for equipment selection and (preliminary) equipment sizing
• Preparation of material requisitions for inquiry and purchase
• Preparation & review of technical evaluations of supplier bids
• Review of supplier drawings & documents
• Attend supplier meetings & resolve supplier related issues
• Participate in inspections and factory acceptance tests
• Coordinate / interface with engineering disciplines like process, piping, electrical, control systems and civil for equipment & facility design
• Plan the execution of the work, track progress & report to the Mechanical Lead EngineerEssential Skills / Qualifications:• Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as API, ASME, ISO and PIP
• Minimum of 8-10 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Minimum BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• English language skills
