BASIC FUNCTION:
Establish and implement cost-effective programmes for asset life extension to ensure adequate controls of ALEM associated threats and achieve safe & reliable performance for extended life of Assets, and support a Company wide Centre of Excellence in relevant areas.
TASKS, DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supervision
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives
Policies, Processes, Systems, Procedures, and Controls
Implement approved Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's work programs in line with Company and International standards
Comply with al! applicable legislation and legal regulations
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section in line with the Company Performance framework
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes
Identify improvements in infernal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and Company Code of Practices
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management
Policy & Standards, Processes & Practices
Develop and maintain systems and standards to allow effective management of extended asset life, based on relevant International Standards, industry best practices and shareholder requirements,
Develop, maintain and support integrated ALEM programme including associated processes, tools and techniques, identifying internal & external factors that could influence this programme
Ensure that ALEM improvement opportunities and required actions are effectively implemented and provide necessary support to site and implementation team
Provide expert advice, Coaching and assistance to address common & major challenges and to ensure that the new ways of working are understood, supported and become the normal way of working across Company
Ensure that ALEM threats are identified, understood, mitigated and effectively managed and that required methods/processes are existed & evaluated, , ensuring that ALEM critical factors are properly considered
Peruse opportunities to safely extend life of assets operating beyond or approaching their useful/original design life in cost-effective manner and provide risk/cost-effective decision making approach, ensuring that all critical drivers are satisfied and optimum ALEM options are determined
Provide sufficient visibility and promote awareness on ALEM threats, enabling Company to demonstrate that specific & appropriate considerations are given to these threats
Performance Monitoring
Contribute to the development and support of a coherent, accurate reporting system for asset life extension status and related processes to provide basis for management decisions at all levels of Company. Assist with monitoring, reporting and recommending areas for improvement against these reports.
Support the implementation of systems for periodic process reviews/audits in order to reinforce the sustained implementation of new ways of working.
Community and Networks
Actively participate in networks of ALEM process owners and practitioners to maximize the benefit to Company, providing knowhow & quality support to operating assets on relevant areas
Encourage a proactive attitude towards Excellence for asset life extension, challenging entrenched practices in order to be aligned with relevant World Class practices
Develop and maintain an open and transparent process that ensures, where applicable, stakeholders are informed and involved in related matters & discussions
Actively contribute to the definition of the competence requirements and direct the development of the ALEM skill pool across Company sites to ensure current and future capability is in place to meet the business needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering relevant to his discipline (Mechanical, Rotating Equipment or l&C) or equivalent qualification.
10 or more years of relevant experience, within a large industrial Organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
Thorough knowledge/emphasis on design, maintenance and CoP relevant to his discipline (Mechanical, Rotating Equipment and l&C).
Knowledge of methods, system and techniques relevant to ALEM.
Strong knowledge of applicable standards and industry current best practices relevant to asset life extension.
Sound knowledge of HSE principles relevant to Oil & Gas industry.
