Currently looking for a Lifting Equipment Superintendent for a leading oil/gas operator company to be based in Oman on a 28/28 rotation position on a rolling 1 year contact. The Lifting Equipment Supervisor is to serve as the technical expert for all matters pertaining to lifting / rigging and heavy lifts within the Oman North Facilities, and to provide support to Operations and Maintenance in order to improve lifting operations in the field. This will require the application of relevant technologies, industry best practices, as well as other innovative / creative solutions. Lifting Equipment Supervisor's job responsibilities include: •Responsible for monitoring the contractors, for competence on all aspects of Rigging and Lifting activities – whilst Coordinating construction, / supporting teams /Vendors etc, together with a number of ‘ON-Plot activities all of which need to be in accordance with the project specifications. •Review and approve Lifting plans and rigging equipment as well as work content, •Serve in a leadership role Lifting and rigging operations in the field, •Training and development of young engineers in the Facilities and Operations departments. Requirements (Minimum education required, background, experience, skills) •High School / further college education. •Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. •10 years supervisory positions held. •Excellent analytical and computer skills. •Track record of continuous improvement results. •Good communication and interpersonal skills.
