PM Group is a leading International engineering, architecture, project and construction management firm with a network of offices in Europe, Asia and the US and a multi-discipline team of 2,100 people.
We now have a requirement for a Rotating Equipment Engineer. This position is based in Milan, Italy.
Job Purpose:
Provides engineering design and coordination services for project rotating equipment (Pumps, Compressors, Gas Turbines etc.) sizing, selection and its auxiliary systems for oil & gas services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead, review, assess and manage scope of works of the allocated FEED package under the direction of their delegated Design Manager
Review, participate, guide and manage the FEED contractor in developing the scope of works.
Review vendor documentation & technical bids for rotating equipment.
Review design drawings and data sheets for rotating equipment and auxiliary equipment.
Manage technical work share for mechanical drawings.
Participate in process safety management studies like PHA / HAZOP, HAZID, and Constructability studies, Value Engineering and other Best Practices during the entire project execution cycle.
Provide technical support to the project management team and engage in any specialty services related to the discipline required.
Manage site construction activities at remote locations and ensure project adherence to HSE requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas projects related to rotating equipment (e.g., Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Screw type, turbines etc.)
Experience in different phases of project execution (i.e. FEED, Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning)
Preferably, work experience in projects over US$100 m
Knowledge of process control & instrumentation controls for rotating equipment (e.g., capacity controls, anti-surge control, Programmable Logic Controller, DCS, Machine Monitoring System, and Emergency Shutdown System etc.).
Work experience in cogeneration projects within the Oil & Gas industry is a plus.
Good working knowledge of International standards and procedures; such as ASME and API
Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
