Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognised University. A Chartered Engineer status or membership with another Professional Institution is preferred. Experience:A minimum of 15 years of post graduate experience in Oil & Gas industry in the areas of design and selection of Rotating Equipment (pumps, compressors, gas turbines, instrument air compressor package, variable speed drive systems and lifting equipment); Piping design and Static Equipment with a reputed design consultant or EPIC contractor, of which a minimum of 8 years in the Lead/Senior Engineer or similar position. The candidate shall have adequate exposure to Pre-commissioning / Commissioning / Start-up /Testing / Operation / Trouble shooting. Must possess excellent written and oral English language and reporting skills. Experience in the execution of CNG / L-CNG projects will be an added advantage. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:· Provide technical expertise/service to the Project in all areas of Mechanical Engineering during Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Design in EPIC Execution stage, ensuring that the Mechanical Engineering designs are optimal, safe, cost effective and in compliance with the latest Codes, Standards, National and QP Corporate requirements and Procedures.· Responsible for all the design and development aspects of Mechanical Engineering and ensure that all associated technical services are in compliance with the latest codes, standards and safety regulations during all stages of the Project life cycle. · Responsible for the safe and optimal Rotating, Static and Package Equipment design development for the Project. Coordinate with various Discipline Engineers under the guidance of Head of Technical/Lead Engineer and ensure that Equipment and Package design developments are cost effective, using latest technology and delivered in a timely manner consistent with Project schedule requirements.· Undertake various Rotating, Static and Package Equipment design, selection/application and sizing studies, as well as studies for existing facilities revamp/upgrade as necessary.· Co-ordinate the interface technical matters, project schedule and implementation strategy in various phases of the Project lifecycle i.e. Study, SOW preparation, Pre-award evaluations, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up phases. Ensure full life cycle costs are taken into consideration during the decision- making process for design. Carry out in-house Mechanical design related to optimization and selection studies, prepare data sheets and specifications for Rotating, Static and Package Equipment, and perform Technical Bid Evaluation for Equipment.
