Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer on our Khafji PMC project. This is a high level position and a minimum of 12 years experience; 8 of them within the field of Mechanical Engineering in major oil and gas projects is essential. Candidates should have a strong background in rotating equipment design.
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, this role would be as a Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer in a project management team overseeing the design and construction of a gas and NGL pipeline from the Khafji production fields into Kuwait.
Project Summary:
KJO is a joint venture between Aramco Gulf Operations and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, operating the Khafji and Hout Fields in the Kuwait / Saudi Arabia border region. This is a long-term role; the contract for the project management services at Al Khafji is held by Penspen until 2017. We have been providing such PMC services since 2005 and are currently looking to add a select number of talented staff to the Penspen team, currently 150+ strong, on this multi-billion dollar revamp/upgrade of the Al Khafji fields.
Responsibilities:
I. Design Phase:
Responsible for Design criteria, drawing standards and conventions, and design guidelines
Responsible for engineering and design data and drawings
Responsible for existing design data, drawings, and specifications
Reviews all drawings, standards, specifications, Engineering Estimates, and Bills of Quantity
Inspects and audits the progress and performance of the Mechanical Design Consultants.
Attends Periodic and Design Review Meetings
Provides input into the pre-qualification and selection of suppliers of materials and equipment.
II. Construction Phase:
Procurement support and expediting support for materials and equipment
Quality Management support during construction
Attends periodic meetings with the Construction Contractors as required
Ensures the COMPANY and Government regulations are followed.
Assistance and support to COMPANY in the commissioning
Participates in the development and implementation of operation and maintenance procedures.
Reviews and checks the as-built drawings.
