The purpose of this position is to provide Maintenance expertise related to Workshop in the field of Trouble-shooting, Analysis of Cause and Effect and Controlling measures in the field of maintenance for all Company Onshore Facilities. The position provides technical knowledge and expertise for Workshop Practices for all Company Onshore facilities.• Supervision of Maintenance activities related to Pumps, Compressors, Fans/Blowers, Boilers, Gas Turbines and its ancillaries, etc. • Procedural Awareness and Implementation• Conversant with various engineering standards and codes (ASME, API, etc.) and interact with different facets of maintenance engineering• Spare parts allocation and prioritization• Workshop Manpower utilization• With supervisory skills in overseeing staff and contractor repairs of large frame equipment. Knowledgeable in CMMS SAP (Systems, Applications and Products).• Contributes to the preparation of annual operating Maintenance budgets for Workshop including Tools requirement. Ensures that all Spare parts and Tools are readily available at all times. • Provides 24 hour, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, “on-call” business and Maintenance support for asset related issues and provides Maintenance assistance in the event of plant emergencies. • Direct Involvement in the planning and execution of major maintenance and main shutdowns. This includes highlighting specific items of equipment which require Maintenance Workshop involvement, assessing resources, material and logistic requirements. • Supervises and directs personnel in his area of responsibility wherever necessary. • Responsible for the support of Company EHS and Quality policies and programs.• Supports company’s initiatives in the area of ISO 9000, ISO14000 and RGEE.• Designated as Trainer and participates in training programs for Qataris.• Identifying and recording of the concerned and anticipated risks periodically.• Conducting comprehensive risk assessments within their designated area of responsibility;• Ensuring all necessary documentation is produced, including detailed task lists, recording the significant findings of the assessments and producing any necessary method statement/ safe operating procedures;• Ensuring that training needs associated with the risk assessment are identified and ensuring that training is provided;• Checking that the risk assessment remains valid, including conducting formal reviews in accordance with these guidelines;• Monitoring that peoples are working in accordance with the outcome of the risk assessment.• Evaluating and recommending appropriate corrective and preventive measures for all the identified risks• The implementation of corrective and preventive measures recommended by the risk assessor’s team.• Conductive review on the corrective or control measures to verify its effectiveness.• To provide feedback regarding, what action taken and if there is any specific requirements.• Follow up the implemented control measures to reduce the risk level.• Participate in safety committee meetings.• Conducting workplace inspection and given toolbox talk regular basis
Requirements:• Completed Higher Educational Diploma specifically in the field of Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution and possessing at least 8 years of actual extensive mechanical equipment repair experience related to Oil and Gas Industry. • Knowledgeable of Advanced principles of Reliability for Stationary/Rotating Equipment inclusive of Seals, Bearings, Vibrations and Lubrication• Excellent adaptability to a multicultural environment with a wide exposure to various cultures and customs • Has capability to work under pressure.• Highly skilled as a Workshop Supervisor and had numerous relevant Trainings. • Proficient in the preparation of Maintenance procedures. • Knowledgeable in various Maintenance Workshop practices including the up-to-date state of the art Technology.• Excellent Planning skills specifically spare Parts Management and Leadership skills. Cost control awareness is an added advantage. • He/she must be Proficient in English, both Oral and Written.• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.• Superior interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus approach.
