Rotating Equipment EngineerDarlington£negotiable6 Month+ Contract This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company which specialises in the design and build of low temperature and cryogenic storage and handling facilities. They are looking to hre a Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer to work on multi-disciplines engineering projects, reporting to the Lead Mechanical Engineer and Engineering Director. Duties:-To liaise with other discipline engineers to ensure all interfaces are adequately covered.Production and checking of design calculations.Production and checking of reports and specificationsProduction and checking of Data Sheets, Design Documents and rising of RequisitionsChecking Drawings, Schedules and MTOsChecking vendor package equipment complies with the company and project specifications.Ensure that equipment specified and supplied is fit for purpose and meets project and company standardsReview drawings for ease of fabrication/constructabilityAttend meetings as required both internally and externallyVisit suppliers/subcontractors as needed for assessments, monitoring and troubleshootingProvide support for site activities including site visits as and when required.Continue development activities to ensure that existing skills are built upon, new skills are learnt and advantage is taken of the latest industry practices. The ideal candidate will degree qualified (or equivalent) and will have a proven track record as a Rotating Equipment Engineer in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, cryogenic handling and storage experience would be an advantage. Ideally you will have experience in the specification of reciprocating gas compressors, submerged electrical motor driven pumps and screw compressors to API, vaporisers, flare systems and cryogenic unloading arms.
