Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer

Leap 29 are urgently looking for a Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer to work for an oil and gas client in Cologne, Germany on a 6-12 month renewable contract.
Our prestigious client has a reputation for being one of the leading companies within the oil & gas sector, with projects ranging from the largest offshore and onshore operations.
Our client requires the ideal candidate to start as soon as possible and rates are dependent upon experience.
As a Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for the following;•Utilizing experience to provide advice to projects on the selection, engineering, testing, maintenance and commissioning of rotating equipment activities•Reviewing project specifications, data sheets, drawings and procedures•Ensure that technical integrity is not compromised on an installation through any maintenance activities•Assessment of concession requests•Continually reviewing the effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improve systems and the reliability / availability performance of assets•Attendance of technical review meetings
Required experience:
•Educated to degree level (MSc level minimum) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.•5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer•Experience in maintenance and repair of rotating equipment•Onshore / offshore operational experience on a Petrochemical / Chemical project•Fluent in German
